Raffia Hat Making Workshop

We are pleased to offer arts, crafts and hat lovers the chance to make their own raffia hat at Clubhub Poole on Monday 19 and 26th July.  This is a two-day event, with each day being 10am-3pm.  At the first day you will learn the basics of plaiting and trimming while on the second day you will sew your finished plait onto the right size block and make the style of hat you prefer from a choice of three.  Everyone in the group works with natural raffia and you will quickly learn that raffia is flexible, forgiving and therefore a beautiful material to work with.  This workshop is great for complete beginners as no prior experience is necessary..of either raffia or any other crafts.  The cost for the total workshop (two days) is £90 per person which includes all materials needed.  This is a great chance to have some raffia fun and make your own stunning raffia hat in your size – something that will last for years and be totally unique.  What’s not to love?
